About ACO
Founded in 1995, we are a group of student on campus
devoted to learning and educating others (students
and faculty) about Asian and Asian American culture.
Additionally, we strive to promote cultural diversity not
only on our own campus, but within our home
communities! We are able to accomplish this by
hosting various cultural events throughout the year
that are free and open to the Mount Pleasant community
to attend. We also strive to raise awareness for many social issues that Asians and Asian Americans face. In order to better equip ourselves for the tasks at hand, we work to improve our own network of communications by collaborating with other student organizations both inside and outside our own campus community. We also work to improve our professional profiles by attending conferences geared towards the empowerment of the Asian and Asian American community. ANY students (REGARDLESS OF RACE/UPBRINGING) looking to meet new people and learn more about various aspects of Asian and Asian American culture are encouraged to join!
